During The Art of Making, we unfolded the narrative behind the making of our most beloved products — a journey that took us all the way from initial, hand-drawn sketches to the final result. Peeling back the curtain, we illuminated the relationships forged with our makers while embarking on a poetic exploration of material and form. We discovered that within every product lies an untold story, shaped not only by its production process but also by the skilled touch of the hands it has encountered along the way.
Revealing prototypes and stills from the production process, the familiar contours of products blurred together, only to remerge as unexpected, amorphous silhouettes and enigmatic figures. Teetering on the precipice of recognition, these partially constructed forms offered a window to a moment lost to time — one that we are rarely granted access to see. Here, amidst the unrealised and half-formed, we were reminded that the true artistry of our products lies in their creation.
From the intricate weave of thousands of threads to the labyrinthine structures of 3D-printed ceramics, we explored the delicate tension between traditional handcraft and modern technology. Working in tandem, these techniques—both old and new—came together to create something truly remarkable.
